Hello my lovelies,
Today I would like to show you how to create artwork, using 3 of my favourite desserts: Ice-cream, Tiramisu and Cupcake. They look amazing on stationeries and clothes! Check some examples that I’ve created at the end of this tutorial. All supplies are from Aliexpress except for acrylic paints, brushes and art paper. You can purchase them HERE. Let’s begin…
Variation 1 - Three Desserts
1) You will need a piece of A4 size draft paper. I am using just ordinary recycled printing paper. Divide this sheet of paper on 3 equal parts and draw vertical lines.
2) Next follow measurements like in this picture.
3) Next draw on the left bottom of the cupcake, in the center cone of ice-cream and on the right bottom of the tiramisu.
4) Next, draw these kinds of snake-like lines which are going to be tops of desserts.
5) Connect snake-like lines in opposite directions with each other.
6) Next draw this kind of melting chocolate drippings.
7) Next draw lines on the bottom of the cupcake and cone.
8) Outline everything with black permanent markers like Sharpie.
9) Using a window in your room or “Light Box” transfer this design onto art paper using pencil.
10) You will need the following pastel acrylic colours, which come in this beautiful set. You can also purchase similar colours of any other brand.
11) You will also need these acrylic colours as well.
12) First paint the bottom of the desserts like in the picture with beige colour.
13) Next pastel cream colour.
14) Next is pastel pink colour.
15) Next is pastel blue colour.
16) Next is pastel purple colour.
17) And pastel green colour.
18) Next I’ve added chocolate-colored acrylic paint.
19) Next you will need the following permanent markers. We will outline everything. I used gold colour Sharpie to outline all lines on desserts and black colour Sharpie to outline chocolate colours.
20) Done!
Variation 2 - Multi Desserts
1) Using the same approach as in the first Variation, I drew desserts all over A4 size draft paper. I also added some hearts and drippings. I outlined everything with black permanent Sharpie.
2) I transferred design onto A4 art paper using “Light Box”. You can also use the window in your room during daylight. I used a pencil. Next I painted with beige colour acrylic paints like in the picture.
3) Next is pastel cream colour.
4) Next is pastel pink colour.
5) Next is pastel blue colour.
6) Next is pastel purple colour.
7) Next is pastel green colour.
8) Next is dark pastel pink for hearts.
9) Next is chocolate-coloured acrylic paint.
10) And finally I’ve outlined everything with a gold coloured Sharpie. Chocolate colour I’ve outlined with black colour Sharpie.
11) Done!
Variation 3 - Right Heart with Drippings
1) First, I took an A4 sized piece of draft paper and divided it in half vertically. I drew a simple heart in the middle of the left side of the paper and transferred the same heart onto the right part of the paper. I’ve added chocolate drippings onto the left heart and cream drippings onto the right heart.
2) I’ve added more elements onto the right heart.
3) I use pastel cream-coloured acrylic paint.
4) Next is pastel pink.
5) Next is pastel blue.
6) And pastel green.
7) Next is chocolate colour.
8) Next I outlined everything just like in previous 2 variations with gold and black Sharpies.
9) In the end I’ve decided to add more elements and this is the final result.
10) Done!
Variation 4 - Red Heart
1) You will need these acrylic colours.
2) First, paint the heart with red acrylic paint and then with chocolate to make drippings.
3) Outline everything like in the picture with black and gold Sharpies.
4) Ready!
This is what I accomplished, 4 different designs which I will use for my stationeries and clothes.
Next I sent these designs to the graphic designer on Fiverr and I asked him to put those designs onto a clean transparent background. I did some modifications with colour and I also digitally created a few more variations. After receiving my designs from a graphic designer, this is what I’ve got on my stationeries and merchandise.
I hope you like it! Have a wonderful day.
With love,
Marina.
